1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Raxak, operated by Ruckshuk Software Private Limited (“Ruckshuk”, “we”, “us”, “our”, or “the App”), collects, uses, processes, and protects personal information when you use our productivity and parental control application. Raxak helps families manage productivity and apply parental controls for both parents and children, including on shared devices.

By using Raxak, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the App.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to deliver our features and services.

2.1 Account and Profile Information

Name
Email address (Google sign-in)
Phone number (phone-number sign-in, where offered; used only to send a one-time verification code and identify your account)
Age (if provided)
Family member details (e.g., parent/child profiles and relationships)
Device information and identifiers (device model, OS version, internal IDs)

2.2 App Usage and Device Information

To provide productivity tracking and parental control features, we collect:

App usage statistics (via Usage Access / PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS)
Foreground/background app state
Screen on/off & device lock events
Foreground services data used for monitoring activity
Notification-related information needed to show parental alerts (not full notification content)

2.3 Browsing Activity and On-Screen Content

When parental control features are enabled, and in supported browsers or apps, we may collect:

URLs and domains visited
Timestamps of website visits
Text visible on-screen required to detect harmful content (e.g., violence, adult content, bullying, profanity). This is done through Android Accessibility Services if enabled.

We do not collect:

Passwords or PINs
Financial information
Encrypted message content

2.4 Child Profile and Monitoring Data

Child profile details (name, nickname, age )
Child’s app usage statistics
Screen time & limit status
App-block events
Website block events
Harmful content detection flags

2.5 Crash Reporting and Diagnostics

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect:

Crash logs / stack traces
Device model, OS version, app version
App state during a crash

2.6 Analytics (Anonymized)

We use Firebase Analytics to collect aggregated data such as:

Feature usage patterns
Session duration and frequency

2.7 Help Other Parents Program (Optional)

Raxak offers an optional program called Help other parents. You choose whether to take part: the App asks once during setup, and you can join or leave at any time in Settings › Help other parents.

What is collected: If your family joins, the apps your family has chosen to block (the app’s package name only) are counted into an anonymous community total, together with the blocks of other participating families.
How it is used: When many participating families block the same app, we may suggest that app for review to other participating parents (for example, “Many parents blocked this app recently”). Suggestions state counts, never judgments about an app.
What is never shared: Your identity, your family’s names, your devices, your children’s screen time or activity, and which apps your family specifically blocks are never shown to other users. Only anonymous, combined counts are used.
Where the data goes: The community totals are used only inside the Raxak App. They are never sold and never shared with advertisers.
Your controls: Turn off “Get recommendations” to stop receiving suggestions while still contributing, or choose Leave the program to stop both. After you leave, your family’s blocks stop being counted at the next update of the community totals.

3. How We Use Your Information

Accurate screen time tracking and reporting

4. Permissions We Use

4.1 Accessibility Service

Used strictly for parental control features:

Detecting and blocking restricted apps
Reading browser URLs to filter websites
Analyzing visible text for harmful content
Determining the foreground app for time tracking

The service does not collect passwords, payment info, or encrypted messages.

4.2 Usage Access Permission

Used to track app usage and enforce time limits accurately.

4.3 Foreground Service & Battery Optimization Permissions

Required to maintain stable monitoring and blocking.

4.4 Notification Permission

Used to send time-limit warnings and parental alerts.

5. Accessibility Service Disclosure

Raxak uses the Android Accessibility Service solely to support parental control and child safety. When enabled, the service:

Monitors app launches to apply app blocking rules
Reads browser address bars to apply URL filtering
Analyzes visible on-screen text to detect harmful or inappropriate content
Helps determine which app is active for time tracking and limits

Before requesting Accessibility, the app shows a clear in-app disclosure explaining that Accessibility access is required to:

Block inappropriate apps
Filter harmful websites
Detect harmful content on screen
Track screen time accurately
Read Youtube video titles and search history in child mode to report to the parent

The disclosure also explains that this permission is used only for productivity and parental control features and that data is private, encrypted in transit, and never sold.

The Accessibility Service is active only when required for these features.

We explicitly do not use Accessibility to:

Collect login credentials, passwords, or financial information
Capture or store the full content of all on-screen activities
Monitor encrypted messages beyond what is technically visible and needed for safety

6. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information.

We may share information only in the following situations:

Within family accounts: Usage data and productivity information may be shared between family members as part of the parental control features (for example, parents viewing child usage reports).
Service providers: We may share information with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the App, such as cloud hosting, analytics, or crash-reporting providers. These providers are allowed to use the data only to perform services for us and are required to protect it appropriately.
Legal compliance and protection: We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of others.
Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to continued protection consistent with this Policy.

7. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures may include secure storage, access controls, and encrypted communication channels (such as HTTPS).

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work continuously to protect your information.

8. Children’s Privacy

Raxak is designed as a family app and is intended to be set up and managed by parents or legal guardians. Child profiles are created and controlled by the parent.

We aim to collect only the minimum data necessary to provide parental control features.
Parents can review, manage, and delete their children’s profiles and related data.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

If you believe we have collected a child’s personal information without proper consent, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.

9. Your Rights and Choices

You may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

Access and review the information we hold about you
Update or correct inaccurate information
Delete your account and associated data (subject to legal obligations)
Disable certain app permissions (which may limit functionality)
Request a copy or export of your data where technically feasible
Opt out of non-essential communications

To exercise these rights, you can use the in-app controls (such as account deletion) or contact us using the information provided in the “Contact Us” section.

9.1 Account and Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your Raxak account and associated personal data via the App:

Open the Raxak App
Go to Settings
Select Delete Account
Confirm your choice

Once confirmed, your account and associated data will be deleted from our active systems. This process cannot be undone.

You can also request deletion by email: write to contact@raxak.ai from the Google account or phone number registered with Raxak, and we will delete your account and associated data and confirm once it is done.

We may retain certain information if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as preventing fraud), but personal identifiers will be removed wherever possible.

10. Data Retention

We retain your information only for as long as needed to provide the services, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, and comply with legal obligations. When you delete your account, we remove personal information from our active systems, subject to any legally required or justifiable retention.

11. Third-Party Services

Our App may integrate with third-party services for features such as analytics, crash reporting, authentication, and cloud synchronization (for example, services like Firebase). These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services, but we seek to work only with providers who maintain reasonable data protection standards.

12. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your country of residence. Where required by law, we implement safeguards to protect your information during such transfers and to ensure an appropriate level of data protection.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and may provide additional notice within the App.

Your continued use of Raxak after changes take effect will mean that you accept the updated Policy.
